In 2001, Somos® utilized a novel chemistry platform based on oxetane chemistry to develop WaterShed® 11120 (today's best-selling, lowest water absorption, ABS-like resin on the market). Related to the epoxy chemistry family, oxetane chemistry produces faster photospeeds, higher green strength, and better resistance to moisture (higher dimensional stability). In short, it is a signficant advancement in SL chemistry potential.
Somos Perform Reflect is Covestro's new innovative material specifically formulated for aerodynamics and PIV (Particle Imaging Velocimetry) applications.
The most advanced material for aerodynamics and high temperatures applications. The ceramic filled material with excellent surface quality, very high rigidity, temperature and water resistance and low viscosity.
Simulate ABS / PBT. Moisture resistant, robust and suitable for the most extreme functional tests. White in color, it lends itself to various industrial sectors such as automotive, household appliances, medical devices and more.
Somos Taurus combines performance and temperature resistance. Features hitherto difficult for SLA materials. Ideal for electronics and electrical engineering where temperature is a critical issue.
Somos GP Plus Simulates ABS / PBT. Moisture resistant, robust and suitable for functional tests.Very photosensitive with a consequent increase in the speed of realization.
With high photosensitivity, it has the color and appearance similar to polycarbonate. It got the certification USP Class VI ed ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity, ISO 10993-10 Sensitization ed ISO 10993-10 Irritation per uso medicale.The range of use further improved.
